As our region looks to recover and rebuild from COVID-19, we need to ensure that a diverse set of voices are included at decision making tables.
As part of this effort, CivicAction kicked off our Re:Action Task Force on April 28, 2020.
As our region looks to recover and rebuild from COVID-19, we need to ensure that a diverse set of voices are included at decision making tables.
As part of this effort, CivicAction created the Re:Action Task Force of Risen and Rising Leaders.
The Re:Action Task Force brings together rising and risen city-builders from across the CivicAction Leadership Foundation’s networks (including DiverseCity Fellows and the Emerging Leaders Network) with a goal of ensuring the greater Toronto region’s response to COVID-19 includes a broad diversity of views, perspectives and experiences (personal, professional and volunteer). The Task Force will connect with all levels of government and decision making tables to help inform. Membership will continue to evolve to include more perspectives.

What is Re:Action?
As our region looks to recover and rebuild from COVID-19, CivicAction is bringing together diverse leaders from across sectors, generations, backgrounds and experiences through Re:Action. CivicAction’s Re:Action initiatives have helped create a collective approach to recovery that instills trust, generates practical ideas and builds a commitment to take action. Let’s #BuildBackBetterGTHA.
Re:Action applies the CivicAction model like in past initiatives such as the Toront03 Alliance, which helped revitalize the tourism industry in Toronto and surrounding regions post-SARS, generating $70 million in tourism.
