Zain Bari Rizvi comes to CivicAction from Shuchona Foundation, a leading not-for-profit in Bangladesh, where she was initially engaged as the Chief Operating Officer and has been instrumental in setting up the organizational structure, financial processes and the internal control system.
Zain’s work experience over the last 14 years covers both the not-for-profit and private sector in Bangladesh and the US, having worked at leading financial institutions at various capacities as well as international NGOs and multinational corporations. Zain is also a certified Project Manager and has led the Bangladesh merger between Siemens Communications and Nokia Networks as the youngest Project Manager in Siemens globally, a project for which she also received an award of excellence. Her practical experience is further complemented by a BA in Accounting & Sociology and a MSc in Social Policy and Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Zain is a passionate advocate for raising awareness about early diagnosis of Autism and supports for autistic individuals and their families especially within the Bangladeshi community in Toronto and in her free time, Zain volunteers with many autism related groups in Toronto and internationally.
