Zabeen is a strategic advisor to business, government and academia on the Future of Work, Diversity and Inclusion, Leadership and Talent Management. A proponent of inclusive prosperity, Zabeen champions building organizations and societies that invest in people to enable everyone to realize their full potential. She is a frequent speaker and media commentator on these topics.
As Executive Advisor, Future of Work at Deloitte, Zabeen advises the firm and its clients on the changing nature of work, workers and the workplace, issues key to the transformation agendas of businesses and government. Other roles include Executive-in-Residence at Simon Fraser University Beedie School of Business, Member of the External Advisory Group for the U.K. Research and Innovation Council, and Visiting Professor, Policy Institute, King’s College, London, UK. She is also a Board Director for Sleep Country Canada.
Prior to this, Zabeen had a distinguished career at RBC, where From 2007-2017, she was RBC’s Chief Human Resources Officer covering 80,000 employees in 40 countries and also held responsibility for brand, communications and corporate citizenship. She was also a member of RBC’s Group Executive Committee which set the bank’s strategic direction.
Zabeen has an M.B.A. from Simon Fraser University.
Zabeen has received numerous recognitions including Ivey Business School Lifetime Achievement in Human Resources Leadership; Simon Fraser University Outstanding Alumni Award and Governor General’s Meritorious Service Medal for diversity and inclusion; Catalyst Canada Honouree for the advancement of women and minorities in business; WXN Canada’s Most Powerful Women Top 100 Hall of Fame inductee and top 25 Women of Influence.
