Sarah has accumulated 17 years of senior leadership experience spanning DevOps, Business Transformation, and Product Engineering – her career began in asset management and risk model design within financial institution frameworks – and continued with Saas, Paas, and Daas private and public sector organizations.
Developing technology that leverages AI, machine learning & neural networks to create automation and new opportunities for growth has been at the core of her career. Supporting DEI in STEAM and leadership drives her to continuously work towards more accessible modalities and ecosystems in the space.
Attending York University to pursue a Bachelor of Science Specialized Honours degree in Neuroscience was a crucial part of her interest in data analytics. After graduating and completing her thesis work in mental attentional functionality in fMRIs, Sarah also completed certifications in Research & Ethics Compliance & Canadian Payroll and Legislation.
Post undergraduate work, she worked as a Research Assistant in social perception and neuroscience labs before pursuing marketing certifications at Ryerson University and subsequently running an international government relations consulting advisory.
Pursuing leadership graduate courses at Princeton and University of Illinois was a valuable part of her ongoing commitment to constant growth and learning. Sarah completed her Executive MBA from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto and strives to provide mentorship at students at U of T seeking to begin a career in STEAM.
Presently Director of Core Business Operations at Deloitte Canada Sarah is a part of the Consulting Practice – innovating in systems engineering, cloud engineering and across the SDLC. Through Blue Ocean strategies Operate empowers clients via both assets and insights.
Presently she serves as Chairwoman for IDQ Advisory Group – where she brings a wealth of knowledge on digital transformation, cloud engineering, operations, UI/UX design, cloud infrastructure, neuroscience-based models of risk and procurement infrastructure. ID Quotient supports and partners with 169 international government agencies, health care networks, and Fortune 100 Organizations. Sarah is also a University of California Advisory Board Member for the Women in Leadership Program. She’s worked with the Canadian Women’s Chamber of Commerce as a leader, Women Enterprise Organizations of Canada and as an ongoing seminar presenter for Alberta Women Entrepreneurs.
As the most recent former Chair for PBSA Canada, privacy and compliance form the foundation of excellence in much of her work. As a Women in Identity Member, and a volunteer for Elevate.ca the intersectionality of tech and driving out social disequilibria are forever connected from her stance. Sarah regularly speaks at engagements about women in technology, women in business and female entrepreneurship.
