Nicole Danesi is a creative and strategic digital marketing and communications specialist with a passion for purpose-driven work. As a Marketing Associate at CanadaHelps.org, Nicole has worked with the team for over four years to support and lead campaigns encouraging Canadians to give to their favourite charities online.
In her free time, Nicole is an active volunteer in her hometown of Mississauga, and also the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. Since 2015, she is the Founder and Chair of MississaugaGives, an annual campaign to encourage charitable giving in Mississauga on GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving after Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Currently, Nicole is a mentor with both Girls E-Mentorship and the University of Toronto, and is the Social Media and Content Manager at TEDxDonMills. Passionate about city-building, leadership, and empowering young people, Nicole is the past Co-Chair of Mobilizing 22, a conference for youth to discuss key issues in Mississauga. She also sat on the organizing committee of #SaugaSpeaks, a debate featuring Mississauga’s 2014 mayoral candidates.A University of Toronto graduate, Nicole studied Communication, Culture, Information and Technology and Environmental Management during her undergraduate degree, while concurrently earning a Certificate in Digital Communications from Sheridan College. An avid learner, Nicole has also earned a Certificate in Digital Marketing Management from the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies.
