Nadia Gouveia began as TCHC’s Acting Chief Operating Officer on April 1, 2022. She will serve as an officer of the company and a member of the Executive Leadership Team.
In approving Nadia’s appointment, the Board recognized her strong leadership skills and her fierce commitment to better living conditions and positive outcomes for tenants, particularly youth. Coming with an extensive project management and community development background including international experience, she joined TCHC in 2009 as the Social Investment Fund Manager. In her role as Director of Programs and Partnerships, Nadia has driven the success of our social development and community economic development programs for tenants. She has led and grown our active living programs in TCHC communities, including partnerships with high-profile organizations such as MLSE Foundation and Jays Care Foundation. She has led many inter-divisional strategies and projects to create increased opportunities for tenants.
Nadia made a huge contribution to Toronto Community Housing’s Strategy to Confront Anti-Black Racism. She led the team that began a process to develop the strategy in mid-2020 and worked to support its successful approval in February 2021.
