Katelyn Kozma is finishing her PhD in Molecular Genetics the University of Toronto. Her research at SickKids Hospital focuses on breast cancer where she is investigating gene mutations that result in cancer resistance and relapse. Following her PhD, Katelyn will be starting as a management consultant at Bain & Company.
Katelyn has dedicated her personal time to developing professional development opportunities and training programs for Canadian graduate students. She is currently the president of the Graduate Management Consulting Association which works to help graduate students transition into consulting. Katelyn has also been a member of the Innovative PhD leaders group at the University of Toronto, an Executive at the Life Sciences Career Development Society, a consultant at the University Consulting Group, and a teaching assistant at the University of Toronto.
In her free time, Katelyn enjoys trying new restaurants and running. She’s also recently picked up golf!
