Anika was born and raised in Grenada; a Caribbean country also known as the “Isle of Spice”. After receiving a Grenada Island Scholarship from the Government of Grenada, Anika moved to Canada in 2008 to pursue her undergraduate studies. She now calls Canada her second home.
Anika currently works at the City of Toronto as a Project, Planning and Project Consultant. She is part of the project team bringing the George Street Revitalization project to life so that specialized care and services can be provided to some of Toronto’s most vulnerable populations.
Anika holds a Master of Global Affairs degree from the Munk School of Global Affairs at the University of Toronto and an undergraduate degree in International Business from Carleton University.
In her spare time, Anika enjoys trying a variety of sports to stay active; from rowing in the summer months, to kickboxing, canoeing and yoga.
