Contest is now closed. Contestants who submitted button designs can expect to hear back about the winning design by Monday, September 10.
Close your eyes. Picture what makes your community unique. Is it a landmark? The people? The culture? Your favourite restaurant? An annual festival?
Now that you’ve conjured up this image in your head, design it in the form of an “I’m Voting” button! We want to see what special or unique aspect of your community, city, or the region drives you to vote in your local election. Why? We’re going to be visiting communities in the GTHA this fall to encourage participation in municipal elections. We’ll be taking “I’m Voting” buttons along for the ride and we need your ideas to really make the buttons pop!
Contest rules. Your design must:
- Be submitted in a .png format
- Be at least 300dpi
- Be a circle 2.25 inches/ 5.715cm/ 675 pixels in diameter
- Contain the words “I’m voting”
- Represent your community, city, or the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area.
Once you’ve created a design that showcases your community, submit it here by August 24 at midnight.
The winning design will be chosen and printed on buttons to be handed out at our municipal election pop-ups in September and October. The winner will be recognized in communications to the CivicAction community and receive a $100 Presto card. Additionally, everyone who submits a design will also be entered into a draw for a $50 Presto card.
